This popular bienniele exhibition and fundraiser showcases our community’s creativity and commitment to support the arts.
The artworks chosen for this year’s Art in Bloom exhibition are from a recent donation by John Noestheden, in memory of his wife Kate Davis. Noestheden is a well-known artist, whose work is also on exhibition this summer, and Davis was the former Director of the MacKenzie. This show is a unique opportunity to see exceptional pieces of art, which the couple personally collected, and gives gallery-goers a special insight into their art-inspired lives.
In May, artists create colourful floral interpretations in response to works in the exhibition. Their exquisite floral masterpieces will be on view to the public, free of charge, from May 10 to 12 during regular Gallery hours. They are also a highlight for guests attending the lunch and fashion shows.
The Art in Bloom Lunch and Fashion Shows are organized by the MacKenzie Gallery Volunteers.
